My grandmother gave me this yellow glass vase before she passed away. It has been a source of comfort and connection and the oily item of hers that I have. The vase brings me a sense of connection to those who came before me. In the winter, flowers in this special vase work to chase the blues away. This painting was done over two days in the cool light of late afternoon capturing both a sense of timeless beauty and the timelessness of beautiful things.
